Rookie Lifeguard

Become a Rookie Lifeguard at St Margaret’s Sports Centre!

Here at St Margaret’s Sports Centre we offer the opportunity for children aged 8+ to achieve their Rookie Lifeguard Badges. This programme teaches children important water safety skills, personal survival and rescue techniques through fun, engaging activities.

The first award to achieve is Bronze 1 followed by Bronze 2 and Bronze 3, working up to Gold 3. For each stage completed, children will receive a badge and certificate.

Children must be able to swim 25 metre lengths competently without goggles in order to take part in Rookie Lifeguard sessions.

 

Our Next Rookie Lifeguard Course

Award: Bronze 2

Dates: Monday 12th August  – Thursday 15th August 2024

Timings: 10:30am-12:30pm

Cost: £80 per child for 4 day course

Term Time Rookie Lifeguard Lessons

We have introduced Rookie Lifeguard within our Swim School timetable. These classes run on Monday evenings 6:30pm-7pm. To find out more or to book your child’s space please email swimmingpool@stmargarets-school.org.uk
